At Little Explorers Academy, we don’t just care for children, we thoughtfully nurture who they are becoming
Meet Ms. K, Owner & Director, Little Explorers Academy
Hello, I’m Kuntal—known to our families as Ms. K. Born in New Delhi, India, I spent my early years immersed in rich cultures and diverse experiences before moving to Berkeley, California, where I earned a double major in Psychology and Economics from UC Berkeley. As the youngest of four daughters, I naturally gravitated toward nurturing roles early in life, learning invaluable lessons through close family bonds and time spent with my nieces and nephews.
Before founding Little Explorers Academy, I spent over 15 years in leadership roles within Information Technology and Engineering, collaborating with globally recognized organizations including Google, Intel, Cisco, Apple, Amazon, and Facebook. These experiences shaped my appreciation for people from all walks of life and reinforced my belief that, despite our differences, we all want the same thing—a strong, loving foundation for our children.
Little Explorers Academy was created from a deeply personal calling. As a single mother, I understand the importance of finding care that is not only safe and reliable but also warm, enriching, and an extension of home. LEA is not simply my profession—it is my way of life. I believe the first five years are the most influential years of a child’s development, and my mission is to nurture children with intention, respect, and joy.
My hope is that every child who graduates from Little Explorers Academy leaves confident, curious, emotionally grounded, and prepared to thrive—academically, socially, and globally. I am honored to partner with families during these precious early years and look forward to welcoming you into our LEA community.
Lead Preschool Teacher
Our Lead Preschool Teacher brings extensive education and hands-on experience in early childhood education, with a strong background in child development, classroom leadership, and supporting a wide range of learning styles and behavioral needs. Their well-rounded professional background allows them to thoughtfully guide children through key developmental milestones with confidence, consistency, and care—ensuring each child feels supported, capable, and understood.
Our teaching philosophy centers on nurturing the whole child. Through a balanced blend of academics, STEAM-based learning, yoga and movement, sports, and collaborative team-building experiences, children are prepared not only for kindergarten academically but to thrive mentally, physically, and emotionally. We focus on building confidence, independence, and a genuine love of learning—supporting children as they grow into well-rounded, resilient, and joyful learners.
Lead Infant Teacher
Our Lead Infant Teacher is a highly dedicated early childhood professional with a strong educational background in infant development and early learning. With extensive experience nurturing infants during their most formative months, they provide attentive, responsive care that supports each child’s unique needs, routines, and developmental milestones. Their calm presence and intentional approach help create a secure, loving environment where infants feel safe, soothed, and deeply cared for.
Our infant program is thoughtfully designed to nurture the whole child from the very beginning. Through gentle sign language, early language and literacy exposure, sensory exploration, music and rhythm, fine and gross motor development, tummy time, movement, and age-appropriate social interaction, infants are encouraged to explore and grow at their own pace. Working closely with families and our close-knit team of educators, our Lead Infant Teacher fosters a warm, enriching, and elevated infant experience—laying a strong foundation for emotional security, physical development, and a lifelong love of learning.
