Lead Toddler Program Teacher
Hello! I’m Miss Lindsey,
I’m the newest member of the Little Explorers Academy Team and I’m loving every minute of it. I strongly believe that children need to play and learn through creativity during their early years to best prepare them for what lies ahead in school. I am so happy to be a part of Little Explorers Academy, their philosophy and well-rounded age appropriate learning programs. Now for a little bit about me, I have an Associates degree in Early Childhood Education through Cerro Coso/Sierra College and I’m currently working on my Early Childhood Education Bachelor’s degree. Both Sierra College and Cerro Coso College are well known for their Early Childhood Development departments and Academic programs. I’ll be finishing up my Bachelor’s degree through Brandman University.
I’ve been working in the Childcare industry since I was 18 years old and I started in the California Family Fitness Child Care department in both the Citrus Heights and Rocklin gyms. I worked for CalFit for 5 years and spent last 3 years as a hands-on supervisor of the Child Care department where I had 30 direct reports. I’m passionate about Early Childhood Education because it's the foundation for a love of learning that will be carried through the child's life.
